Blueprint of Change

We live in a democratic country. But many, until now, don’t know or even experienced to live in a real democratic country. Over the past few years, our democratic government is known for its corruption. Our country, also, has been tormented by the so called leaders who promised to fixed made by the former president bet ended it all making the problems more even worse. Maybe the people would ask no, why our leaders control our country for themselves and for money?  I don’t think democracy is really working here in the Philippines. Because though with democracy, we have freedom to choose our leaders we think would make our lives better but they are also free to break their own rules. And instead of providing worthy development and reduce poverty, they skimmed our resources and used our money for their self interest and self-preservation. This is called maladministration.
As a result, many people suffered from it. That people lived in the remote areas with no proper and permanent home. They even tried their best and do everything that is possible selling the parts of their body, eat rats and worms, as a sex worker, just to live and eat just once in a day. Nowadays, children don’t have any chance to go to school and study because of poverty. That’s why many of our co-Filipinos don’t know anything about our historical backgrounds even the simple things about it. I sympathize those people who live a hard life but I know sympathy is not enough. So, I hope our government would take action to these problems as soon as possible. The government should provide the basic needs of the people and the right service of the leaders. I’m also looking forward that the government would implement programs like free education fro the poor, employment and also permanent home for them. On the contrary, it’s been long hard years for the people struggling and shouting for help from our government but they are blind to see and deaf to hear. So now, I’m hoping that the government will stop pretending that they didn’t see the real situation of our country and finally they will lend their ears for the people.
Democracy is acceptable if the leaders know what it really is and how it is to be in a democracy. But we can’t blame our leaders always because we, as individuals, have its own responsibilities in our country. If we want change, we should start it in our lives says Ghandi.

Blogging a blog of my classmate #4

I'm having a hard time to what blog I should blog. Then for how many minutes looking I found one. The blog that I chose to blog was http://wonderfuljournal.blogspot.com/2011/03/all-for-love-3.html.

I also like this song and I agree with her that the song "All for Love" is meaningful. And, it's true that it can touch the hearts of the people including me. This song is so true! We do break His heart all the time, yet He still forgives us. How awesome is that? I can also say that this song reminds us of the greatest and deepest love of God that he gave His only son just to save us from our sins. He is truly amazing!

Yet, we often forget that we have Him in our life. We just call Him when we have problems and sometimes hate Him for not  granting our prayer. Not knowing that He is always besides us for the good and bad times. It also tell us that we should not get discourage of all the trials because He has purpose on every challenge he put in our lives.

We should remember that we have a forgiving God and He loves us.

How Mineral Development Contributes to the Country's Economy #5

Economics and the social aspects of humankind are inevitably intertwined. If human needs are not provided for within the basic economics structure, conflicts arise. Similarly, it is the failure of the country to cope with the basic economic prerequisites to discord eventual economic disaster. Thus, the contribution  of mineral development is needed to help drive the economic recovery from crisis and have a large part to play in the national economic development.
Indeed, economic crisis is one of the hundreds of problems we faced today. It is very important to bring solutions to this problem. One way to solve this is by developing mineral resources in the various regions of the country. Countries, especially under-developed countries could achieve breath-taking benefits of the mineral resources in our earth. This results to the high production of new and ample supplies and raw materials. These raw materials can be exported and imported to the other countries or regions which helps increase the income of the country.
"How Mineral Development Contributes to the Country's Economy" is my term  paper topic. It is about developing mineral resources through mineral processing which increases the production of raw materials. It can also helps boost the country's economy. I chose this topic because many of us are unaware of the benefits we can get from our mineral resources that many taken it for granted. Moreover, these benefits soon spread to the areas of the national economy well beyond placing the country's economy over-all development in high gear.

Voice of Truth # 3

Voice of Truth

The "Voice of Truth" by Casting Crowns is one of my favorite Christian songs. I once heard this song in the movie " Facing the Giants". This song, for me, is awesome! It talks about that no matter how big our problems, don't listen to the voice of evil instead listen to the voice of truth and it reminds us that He is greater above all. Also, Voice of truth tells us that we don't need to listen to the negative things that the world says. We just need to focus on the positive things and trust Him all the time.

This song also has a great impact on me. Because every time I have a lot of things in my mind, everything that was bothering me faded away as I listen to this song. I also realized that our problems in life are just distractions and it's up to you if you let it control your life. Every time the giants and the waves reminded me of all the time i tried and failed, the voice of truth tells me DON'T BE AFRAID because we have Him.

Indeed God is awesome, mighty and powerful. and through Him, we can do all things that this life can offer.
Please listen to this song and get inspired! I'm sure you'll like it.

Life's but a walking shadow. A poor player that
struts and frets his hour upon the stage;and is
heard no more.A tale told by an idiot,
 full of sound and fury.
Signifying nothing!

Cupfuls of Care #1

We willingly care for the physical needs of others. But what about their emotional needs? Is anyone concerned about their fears, their hopelessness or their insecurities? Listen; just be there and you care. Being caring is my best asset.

I care for the people around me especially to those who are closed to me. When people complain to me how depressed or problematic they are, I just let them cry besides me and listen as they share their feelings. Some may not appreciate of what I am doing but it’s alright. Indeed, the pleasure I received from this is truly great. When my thoughts are of them, I forget what’s bothering me. It seems more logical that it is a better thing to do. Somehow, caring for others really takes little effort and relieves my plight. That care filled the love cup of others that it overflowed to fill my own.

Even if I can’t prevent another’s sorrow, at least, I can lessen it by caring. In essence, time spent caring is never time wasted. It’s the quality and spirit of our care that will determine, to a great degree, whether or not the significant people in our lives will have healthy love cups or leaky ones!

City of Waterfalls Escapade #2

sunset in Iligan :)
Maria Cristina Falls
Towards the end of high school, I was thinking about what colleges I was interested in applying to. There is one thing on my mind, I wanted to get away from home. I began to feel the impulse to stand alone and take charge of my own life. As the time arrived to pack my bags, the reality of what I was doing hit home hard.  I wept as I realized that I was going to be four-to-five hours away from everything and everybody that was familiar to me. I was leaving the town where I was used to sleep, eat and cry.
When I arrived in Iligan, the city of waterfalls, everything is new and different.  Feelings were mixed. I was excited at the prospect of starting over and scared of living life in a different way. It is difficult to adjust in a new environment with new faces, new way of transportation, new things to see and d.  I met some strange people with distinct personalities whom I was fairly sure did not even remember my name. I thought that I was not going to make it through the year. Time passed,  the days went on and still adjusting – but the place was beautiful, the people were kind and it became better and better as the school year continued.

My life in Iligan is not yet over. I have four more years to stay here. But when the time comes that I need to leave this place, I will surely miss it.
